Cobra Slug 2 (6)

Gunslinger Knights

Though these monsters are as large as cattle, cobra slugs more closely resemble slimy, glistening slugs, save for a cobra‑like frill that hoods heads with too many eyes and a mouth constantly leaking a horrific‑smelling acidic ooze. The fringe upon which the cobra slug walks is composed of hundreds of digits too close to human fingers to be anything other than malevolence.

Cobra slugs tend to move in herds, their approach as they scrape across the ground a strident screech. However, they’re equally at home in the water and, once deposited in the wake of a storm, may find their way into the sea where they become a scourge to ships when several go after the same trade vessel at once.

Motive: Hungers for flesh

Environment: Near and in water (fresh or saltwater); in groups of seven to twelve

Health: 6

Damage Inflicted: Minor wound (3 points)

Armor: 1

Movement: Short; short when swimming or climbing

Modifications: Dissolving objects and structures with acid as level 5; resisting being moved against their will as level 5

Combat: A cobra slug spits acid at a target within short range, or bites.

A cobra slug also has the following additional traits.

Interaction: Cobra slugs are clever pack-hunting predators, except they never flee once they engage.

Use: Boats are going missing on the trade route and supplies to the priory are running low.

GM Intrusion (group): When the cobra slug is killed and detonates, the remaining cobra slugs explode in sympathy, dealing a single sum of damage (instead of several small amounts) equal to 3 times every cobra slug in short range to targets who fail a Speed defense roll. Those who succeed still take 3 points of damage.
