Tidal Blades
Currently, there is only one known Akora. But perhaps there are other similar monsters out there that have yet to be discovered.
A rumbling in the distance, which grew quickly to an overwhelming, deafening tumult, as if the bones of the land itself were creaking and twisting. A massive form took shape in the Fold.
It grew until at last it seemed to fill the entire horizon. It was an island, a volcano at the center, moving toward them with alarming speed. Suddenly, the island seemed to rise out of the water, revealing the angry maw of a giant turtle-shaped beast. The volcanic rocks covered in coursing lava were in fact its shell.
Named after the atoll of Akora, Akora is a legendary monster carrying a live volcano on its back. This unique turtle-like creature is about 300 times larger than any other turtle specimens ver recorded, and is only rarely seen in the world. In fact, some people say that the stories about it are pure fiction, and that it doesn't exist in the real world at all. Not even the Lore of the Tidal Blades has a mention of it.

Combat: Akora has a number of attacks, but most often uses its monstrous claws to grab or smash boats, buildings, or anything else that's in reach, inflicting a major wound (15 points).
It can also cause the live volcano that it carries upon its back to erupt, spewing molten lava and hot ash across a very long distance around itself. The lava and ash mixture inflicts 10 points of damage each round to everything it touches.
Few attacks can harm Akora directly, thanks to its high amount of Armor. However, it is rumored to have two weaknesses. The first is an unarmored spot behind its hind legs. Foes who attack it there gain a free level of Effort to damage. Akora knows about this weak spot and defends it well, so it gets a free attack against anyone taking advantage of that vulnerability.
The second weak point is inside the very heart of the volcano on Akora's back. Anyone inside the volcano takes 7 points of fire damage each round (ignores Armor), but attacks directly on the heart inflict double their normal damage.
Interaction: Most PCs can't directly interact with Akora due to its size and inscrutability.
Use: Encountering Akora, even from miles away, is a rare and extraordinary experience for any Navirian. Most will not have it happen in their lifetime, and those who do will have a story to tell for the rest of their lives. Whether or not anyone believes them is another thing altogether.
GM Intrusion: One of the many parasitic or symbiotic creatures that lives upon Akora attacks one of the characters or their watercraft.
