Embeds Stealthtech

Neon Rain

Some of your organic parts have been replaced with artificial components. Like most people in the city, you are a cyborg, but your augmentations are extensive, and your chrome parts are meant for stealth and infiltration. You almost certainly have synthetic materials and technical components visible on your skin. As you advance, you can add to, modify, or discover new functions for your machine parts.

Connection: Choose one of the following, or choose one of the Focus Connections.

  1. Pick one other PC. You grew up in the same neighborhood and have known each other since childhood.
  2. Pick one other PC. No matter how hard you try, they're always able to spot you and see through your deceptions.
  3. Pick one other PC. Something about their organic parts and cybernetics means you two look a lot alike—close enough to be siblings.
  4. Pick two other PCs. You know about an important connection between them, something that even they don't know about.

Tier 1

Fast Chrome Enabler

Your machine parts grant you +1 to Armor and +2 to your Speed Pool.

Tier 1

Stealth Skills Skill

You are trained in your choice of two of the following skills: disguise, deception, lockpicking, pickpocketing, seeing through deception, sleight of hand, or stealth. You can choose this ability multiple times, but you must select different skills each time.

Tier 2

Cat's Paw Enabler

You gain CatsPaw cybernetics that replace your organic feet.

Tier 3

Confidence Artist Enabler

When you're hacking into a computer system, running a con, picking a pocket, fooling or tricking a dupe, sneaking something by a guard, and so on, you gain an asset on the task.

or

Limited Camouflage (3 Speed points) Action

You activate camouflage software that alters your appearance to match an adjacent large object such as a wall, cabinet, or vehicle. If you succeed at a stealth task, everyone who was observing you completely loses track of you. Although you’re not invisible, you can’t be seen until you reveal yourself again by making an attack or moving away from the object.

Tier 4

Better Surprise Attack Enabler

If attacking from a hidden vantage, with surprise, or before an opponent has acted, you get an asset on the attack (if you have Surprise Attack, this is in addition to the asset from that ability). On a successful hit with this surprise attack, you inflict 2 additional points of damage (for a total of 4 additional points of damage if you have Surprise Attack).

Tier 5

Hard to See Enabler

When you move, you are a blur. It is impossible to make out your identity as you run past, and in a round where you do nothing but move, stealth tasks and Speed defense tasks are eased.

Tier 6

Escape Plan Enabler

When you kill a foe, you can attempt a stealth task to immediately hide from anyone around, assuming that a suitable hiding place is nearby.

or

Perfect Speed Burst (6 Speed points) Enabler

You can take two separate actions this round.
