Being patient might seem to others like a skill you're born with. And to some extent, that's true. But being patient also comes from hard experience and learning from mistakes. You know all too well that allowing yourself to give in to anger or frustration, or acting in the moment rather than planning ahead, rarely leads to ideal outcomes whether you're dealing with people, creatures, or seemingly impossible situations. It's hardest to be patient when your ego is bruised, but even then, you try to remain calm and work out the best solution.

From the following list of options, choose how you became involved in the first adventure.

  1. After spending some time considering all the ramifications of the issue, you joined the other PCs to be "the voice of reason."
  2. You got over an insult (real or accidental) that one of the other PCs inflicted on you and joined the group anyway.
  3. You've been holding back most of your life. Every so often, it pays to take a few risks. Even the patient can be patient for only so long.
